Jeffrey Nicholas Beard...name at birth..adopted last name Treglown. Born in Portland, Oregon Jeff's adoptive mother was an RN in Oregon City. Adopted father worked as an executive at Publisher's Papers in Oregon City, Oregon. Closed adoption to me, Juanita (Phillips) Beard, but, Jeff's adoptive parents allowed open contact with my mother Thelma (Daugherty) Phillips for many years. One known residence was knightsbridge road, Canby, Oregon. Jeff's residence in Canby is known due to a heart / resp. monitor billing being sent incorrectly to me...for him...that showed this residential addie. Jeff was on a heart/resp. monitor through an initial sponsorship by the Lions. Jeff was a subsequent birth to a son, Robert Nathaniel Beard, that died of sudden infant death syndrom in 1987. His full brother robert is buried in lone oaks cemetary, stayton, oregon, where we were living at that time. Jeff has one full brother patrick, one half brother andrew whom are both living. Through Jeff's biological dad, Kenneth Scott Beard, he has 2 half sisters by ken's first marriage, and 3 additional half brothers by a lady after we split up. Jeff and his brother patrick were placed in temp voluntary state protective custody when jeff was just under 4 months old. Boys were split up and placed in different foster homes. The adoptive (Treglown) parents were initially jeff's foster parents. After 2 months of one hr supervised visits, one visit per week, I saw that jeff had attached to his foster parents as his own. While, patrick knew who i was and went through repeated torture to be sep. from me at the end of the visit. When, through the Treglown's attorney, Robin (dont remember last name) contacted me regarding their wish to legally adopt jeff, I made the very difficult decision to allow the adoption..I didnt want to put Jeff through what i saw every week with Patrick being torn from me. On the original adoption paper...there will be tear stains on the page where i signed. Although i felt as though another one of my sons were 'dying' to me..(as it was fully known it would be a closed adoption)..I simply couldnt be the cause of pain to Jeff later on. Biological father: Kenneth S. Beard born in california. Ken's mom: Janice (Guthrie) Beard..died in portland. Cancer Ken's Dad: James Beard..still living as of 2006 Biological Mother: Juanita M. (Phillips)Beard born in canyonville, oregon My father: Joseph H. Phillips born in Bladen county, North Carolina, 1942 My mother: Thelma (Daugherty) Phillips born 4-10-42 kentucky
