I am searching for my birthmother.She gave birth to me under gas at the old Lake Road hospital in Dyersburg, TN on 2/15/66. She was 27 years of age at the time, about 120 pounds and had auburn hair. I think I may have a brother who was 2 at the time. She gave me up to the state at birth and they handled my adoption. I believe I weighed a little over 8 pounds when I was born. I also don't think that she was ever allowed to see me. I didn't think that she received much prenatal care at all. I have to think that she is still around this area (I live in Memphis) and that she would be ready to see me again by now. I have reddish brown hair that is graying. I am married with no children. My adopted parents had strong connections with Dyersburg and Crockett counties. My adopted father has many family members left in Friendship, such as the cotton gin owner. My father owned the small lumber company there until I was about six. I have a brother who is three years older than me who also was adopted through the state. My adopted mother worked for the Olivers who owned the Dyersburg Big Star for years. My parents were members of the church of christ. I was told that my birth father had possibly worked at a tire plant near Dyersburg.
