My Father, Serafino Malavolta was born in Donora PA in 1921. His parents, Domenico and Annunziata DiVentura Malavolta, arrived from Italy in December 1920, from Arquata, Italy. In 1934, they both passed away and their 4 children were split up. My father, who was 13 at the time, was sent to St. Louis to be adopted by Frank & Josephine Scalise living in Wood River, Illinois. They were either friends or relatives of one of my father's relatives. I'm not sure of the time frame--he could have been around 15 at the time of his adoption. I don't know if the legal records of this event are in Illinois or Missouri. I need this information in order to obtain dual citizenship with Italy. I need to prove that SAM SCALISE & SERAFINO MALAVOLTA are the same person. | |||||||||||||||||||||
