Beatrice Thompson is my birthmother. I am one of her twin daughters that was born on may 4, 1964. Born at St.Tammany Parish Hospital, Covington, La. Her mother was said to have worked there. But, my mother and father lived in Mississippi. Close to Picayune. They also had a son,(my older brother). His name is Robert Amaker. He is one or two years older than me. My birthfather's name is Jim Amaker. He is from Mississippi. But, I was told that my mother Beatrice is from Philadelphia. She did not give us up for adoption, or sign the adoption papers. Jim told us that he took us from her when they split up, while we were with a babysitter. I have only pictures of my mother, she had long black hair like me! There is one picture of her sitting on the grass with two little blonde boys that I was told were possibly her sister's boys, and that she was raising them. My father Jim was in the army, and hardly ever home. He was in Vietnam. He told us our mother had no family support to help her with us children. My twin sister's and my name was, (Rhonda and Sondra) and they have remained the same. Only our surnames have changed from Amaker to Albinson. I am praying to God that my mother is still alive, and even wants to meet me. I should love to meet her before I die! |
