I am a white female searching for my birth family or any information about them. I was born 8-16-70 in Atlanta Georgia. My adoption was finalized in Durham County, NC. I was picked up at an agency in Leniorm, NC. I left the hospital on 8-19-70 and was placed with a family that already had a foster son who was 9 years old. I believe my birth family is from the North Carolina or Georgria area. This is what I know about my birth mom: She was 19 years old. She had Blond Hair (wore in a page boy style), Green eyes, Medium Complexion. She was 5’2” and usually weighed 120 lbs. She graduated from High School with honors and received a scholarship to college. She dropped out after one semester to have me but planned on returning to finish her degree. She liked to sew and crochet. The social worker at the maternity home described her as quiet and shy. She was good with children. She was the oldest of 5 children. Her parents were both 44 years old. Both had brown wavy hair. He was 5’11” and weighed 150. She was 5’1” to 5’2”. He liked to fish and hunt. He was an electrical welder. She liked to cook and sew. She had a 16 year old brother that was athletic and like horses and bicycles. He had red or brown hair. She had a 11 year old sister that was artistic. She had red or brown hair. She had an 9 year old sister with a cleft palette. She had red or brown hair She had a 2 year old brother with red curly hair and blue eyes. Her Maternal grandparents both died from cancer. He was 93, she was 72. She had an uncle that had diabetes and died at 45 from frostbite and gangrene. This is what I know about my birth dad: He did not know about me and my birth mom did not intend on telling him. He was 26 years old and was 6’3” to 6’5” weighing 250-275 lbs. He had dark, wavy hair and a dark complexion. He was a college graduate and worked with computers. He did this in his job as well as a hobby. He liked skiing and race cars.
