I am searching for my birth mother. I was born in Warren Ohio at St. Joes Hospital on September 29, 1982. I was adoped through Catholic Charities in Warren. I believe my birthmother had 3 brothers, she was about 22 years old and had considered joining the peace corps at one time. She was of German and Irish descent and has attended college but not graduated at the time of my birth. My father was rather immature and of German and Croatian descent. My maternal Grandfather was an engineer, and I believe my maternal grandmother was a nurse. One of my maternal uncles was a DJ and another was autistic. My birthmother wrote a very sweet letter to my adotive parents within the first few days that talked about her love for God and how hard it was to give me up, but the right thing. I am hoping to find my mother and possibly father in hopes of connecting with someone that maybe looks like me etc. I have wanted to join the peace corps for a while and after I read that my birth mother had at one time too (I just receieved a lot of information about my family this year), I realize a lot of who I am is probably nature v. nurture and I'd love to get to know someone maybe a little like me. I had a great up bringing and only hope to bring more people into my life, even if its just for a brief hello. |
