I am searching for my brother who would have been born in Nashville, Tennessee possibly in October, 1953, 1954, or 1955. Our mother wanted to keep him so badly, but my 3 older sisters wouldn't let her and made her give him up for adoption. They wouldn't even let her see him after he was born. I was told that he was a big baby and weighed 9 or 10 pounds. Mom had 5 daughters, and this was her first and only son. I believe that the name of the doctor that delivered him was Dr. Hillard, and his office was on Woodland Street. We lived in Columbia, Tennessee for a long time and lived in the Nashville projects for a while. Our mother was part Indian and had dark hair, brown eyes, and high cheek bones and was beautiful inside and out. She was the most gentle woman I've ever known and the best mother I could have ever hoped for. I was born an identical twin, but she died of breast cancer 9 years ago, and I miss her so much.
