Dahl/Tribe/Spilliard/Keen - I am seeking information about my birth Father, Ingvald Lewis Dahl. Originally from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, he came to Hawaii with the United States Air Force in the 1950's. He me my mother, Rose Mapuana Tribe, at Hickam Air Force Base on the island of Oahu while she was working for SpenceCliff as the snack bar. He married my mother about 1954. My older brother, William Leopold Dahl was born in 1955 at Tripler Army Hospital, and then I was born in 1959 at Queen Kapiolani Hospital. I know that my parents divorced and that Patsy Mink was my mother's attorney. Unfortunately, I don't know when they divorced! Both William and I were subsequently adopted by William Francis Spilliard (my mother's second husband) in 1963. I do know that Ingvald eventually returned to Wisconsin, had remarried, and was never allowed to have contact with either my older brother or myself. I also know that he passed away in 1985 in Madison, Wisconsin. Last information I was able to locate indicated that Ingvald was deceased September 1985, and his widow is Phyllis A Dahl on Lansing Str., Madison, WI.
