I was 19, almost 20, full of love in my heart for you, but not yet ready for a baby. My name is Jennifer. I hope to meet you someday...I pray that you have had a good life. I hope that you have always felt love, NEVER abandonment, I hope that you have always felt wanted, NEVER EVER that your life was a mistake, I hope that your mom and dad gave you all the things that I knew I couldn't...I will always love you no matter what. As much as I would like to meet you someday, I will respect your choice if that's not what you want. My guess is that you're tall and handsome and very smart, but the only thing I can claim is your genes, and even then, only half of them. I can't claim that I comforted your fears, taught you your ABC's, your colors, how to treat girls. The only thing I can claim is that I gave birth to you. I hope that God gave you awesome parents and a wonderful childhood. Every year on your birthday, I feel a tingle in my heart, a small sting almost. The closer you come to your 18th birthday, I try to imagine how my life, and yours, would have been different had I kept you.
