I am searching for my Parsi mother. I was born at St Catherine's Home, Andheri, Mumbai, India, on (or about) the 14th July, 1966. My mother was 38 years old at the time of the birth. She stayed at the home for three months before the birth, and up to five months afterwards, when I was given up for international adoption (UK). I have recently been told she was married, but that her husband had left due to a misunderstanding. The nuns named my mother as Bhanu, but I understand this may have been a false name. They are not willing to tell me my mother's name or contact details. I have a brown birthmark on my right forearm, above my wrist. For forty-one years I have thought about my mother and it is my dearest wish to reunite with her, or other members of the family. I understand this may be difficult for her, and I do not wish to upset her life in any way. I can be very discreet, but I need to know my roots. If anyone reading this knows how I can find her, please help. Thank you. |
