I am looking for Eva Dewitt. She and my father, Richard DeWitt, were placed in the Iowa Soldier's Orphans home in 1928 by their stepfather, William Doud. According to the state, Eva was adopted out. As she does not appear in the 1930 census, the adoption would have taken place between April 1928 and 1930. She was born 4-16-1921 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Her birth parents are Ralph DeWitt,Sr. and Maude Barrett. The names of the four siblings: Ralph DeWitt, Jr, Eva DeWitt, Richard DeWitt and Frances Doud. | |||||||||||||||||||||
