I have been looking for any family members for many years, would love to have contact to share life experiences. I am a female born on 10/18/1956 in the Margaret Hague Hospital, Jersey City, NJ. My Birth mother was a married woman at the time of my birth, but not married to my birth father. She had very common Irish last name, which could have be her maiden name,was 23 years old and she had two daughters from her marriage. My birth father was single and his first name is John, 28 yrs old and of Italian heritage, working as a bartender and attending school to study accounting. The Agency has told me in January 2008 that they could not pronounce his last name and it was two short sylables-(I am not sure now if he was Italian!) I was placed with the Children's Aid and Adoption Society, Main Street, Orange, NJ. My Adopted mother told me that I was placed in a foster home after birth where the foster mom nick-named me "morning glory". I was placed with my adopted family at 3 months months of age and the adoption was finalized in January 1958. The Attorney was David M. Beckerman, located on Broad Street in Newark, NJ. |
