I am the daughter of an adoptee searching for my father's birth parent(s). I am extremely interested in medical history but am curious about social history and situation leading to adoption.
My father was adopted from Jacksonville. This adoption was not spoken of very often while my grandparents (my dad's adoptive parents) were alive. They are recently deceased.
I have no access to my father's birth certificate and presently have no relationship with my father. Even when we got along and attempted a relationship, he would not consent for me to search for his birth history.
I have heard various stories from my father's ex-wife regarding his adoption history. However, none are proven reliable. One story indicated that my father's birth parents were a secretary and senator at the state capital in Tallahassee.
-My father's celebrated birth date is 8/21/1949.
-My grandfather once stated that my father was taken home a day late because the physician in Jacksonville had to sign that he was in good health to leave the hospital. (I don't know which hospital)
-My father grew up in a rural town in south Georgia.
-My father was adopted by two affluent individuals (my grandparents/The Lanes)who owned a business, that is still run today by my uncle.
-My father has dark hair, light brown eyes, and a fair complexion. He is 6'1'' tall. |
