I am a bi-racial female who was born on 10/16/1976 in Milwaukee County. Placed for adoption through Catholic Social Services by birthmother possible name-Joanne?(her age at time 19?) I was named by my birthmother, "Yolanda Marie" and was placed in a foster home with the Frahm family (Wally and Kathy) until I was adopted in January of 1977. My BM is caucasian and is said to have had brownish hair and either blue or brown eyes. No information was given of BF but I am assuming due to being "mixed" that he is an African American; although he was said to be very tall and thin?! The social worker who originally handled this case has the last name of Steingraber and had some contact with my birth mother after the adoption was finalized as she asked for a recent picture of me. I am in search of information regarding any medical or health issues and also have learned that my biological mother gave birth on 9-16-86 to fraternal twin boys of whom are my half brothers and I would like to meet them! I have a very distinguishing port wine stain birthmark on my lower jaw/chin area on the right side. I also know that my BM has 4 sisters and 2 brothers, of whom 1 of the sisters is or was a Sister/Nun in the catholic church. I grew up in the Bay View area and now have medical issues and a child of my own that I would like to be able to pass information on to. If anyone out there sees any familiarities in this story please respond. |
