Searching for my biological mother. I was born on March 3,1974 as Melissa Dawn in Sedalia, Missouri at 3:09PM - not sure what my last name was. I weighed 5lbs. I recently was told I had the three day measles. My adoptive name is Latonya Powell. My biological mother is a caucasian female and believed to be about 5'4, around 125-130lbs,and brown hair blue eyes. She was born in Mississippi and evidently moved to Missouri. After giving birth to me, she moved in with her Aunt. She was supposed to move with her Aunt to California. My biological father is African American. Just recently I was told he denied paternity, for whatever reason I'm not sure. I was told that my biological mother did not want to give me up. I believe the adoption took place in Columbia, Missouri (Boone County) and/or it could have taken place in Pettis County. I have no other information to go on.
