My sister and I, Avalinda and Cayen H. are looking for either of our birth parents Mary Morton and Shawn Potter of Portland, ME. Originally were together, but as far as we know they divorced. When we went into our foster care our last name was Potter, but since then has changed. Did visit us for the first couple of years we were in foster care but overtime stopped. They said that it was hard for them to come. Since then we have found one news clipping of Shawn in 2002 about being a member of The Amistad in Portland, ME. He was supposedly having trouble and dependent on the "club", which was having trouble itself. The adoption was done through Maine's Department of Health and Human services through a man named Steve Conley in the early '90's. Mary is suspected to be about 40. Seen last in the early 90's she was described as petite with brown hair. Shawn was about 6 feet with dirty blonde hair. Whether appearences have changed or not is unknown. Maternal grandmother was a woman named Marjorie Morton of Portland, Me and another relative was a great great grandmother Mrs. Lawrence Tweedy. Shawn Potter may have relatives in Standish, ME (such as parents). Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
