My sister and I are looking for a brother that our mother gave up for adoption probably between 1969-1971. The adoption was handled through Montgomery County Social Services in Maryland. We believe that his name was Michael then changed to James once adopted. Mother's name at time of adoption would have been Margaret Beckwith or Margaret Milligan. Father's name was listed on the birth certificate as Jack. Since this was a closed adoption, social services will not give us any information. We believe that he attempted contact through Montgomery Co social services within the last few years, however our mother wasn't able to cooperate. It is also believed that he was incarcerated and/or living in Virginia or West Virginia within the past 5-7 years. Any info, please contact me. Post date of this is 1/3/2007.
