I am looking for my fathers birth parents. He was born on August 24, 1952, in Los Angeles California. His birth mother was 25, Irish, English and Indian. She was 5’ 2 ½” with brown hair, eyes, and olive skin. She had five living brothers and a brother and sister who had died. She had a high school education, 2 ½ years of college education, and 3 years of nurse’ training. She was Protestant and her parents were divorced. Her mother lived with her and was 57. Her father worked as a minister, and was about 65. His birth father was Irish and Catholic. He was a mortician in another state, and 26 years old. He was brown haired with blue eyes and a fair complexion. He was 6’ 3” and weighed around 200 pounds. He was in World War II in the Naval Air Corps and was never told about my father. He and my dad’s birth mother had been engaged for six months, but then the birth father went back to his ex-wife and they got re-married. He was an only child, and his mother had been widowed 24 years earlier. She was over 50. My father was taken to the Children’s Home Society of California because his birth mother felt that he would be better off in a home with two parents. He was placed there 11 days after his birth, and had wry neck. He was adopted about two months after he was born. His given name is Mark Steven Willis.He was adopted by Jean and Raymond C. Willis. Adopted mothers maiden name was Fontaine.
