I received a letter from Ann whose grandmother was Marie Carpenter Kidd born December 24, 1904, and died in December of 1974 in Kentucky. She received her Social Security number in Michigan. Ann was adopted, and is looking for her birth mother who was the daughter of Marie Carpenter Kidd. The birth mother was Lela D. Kidd and Lela was born in December 29, 1940 in Kentucky to Marie Carpneter Kidd. Ann was born to Lela D. Kidd Janurary 20, 1957 in Woodford County. Hospital, in Woodford County Kentucky. Ann was adopted at 18 months of age. I only have her birth mothers maiden name. If anyone out there knows any of these persons, I would love to hear from you. March 2008 I am so sorry I did not get Ann's last name or where she lived, as I tried to help her as best I could. I did have a woman that Emailed me, maybe one of those "Volunteer Search Angels" that I heard named on this site. That very nice woman began assisting Ann. I helped her too as much as I could, but saw that she was in excellent hands. Now her birth mother has contacted me, and it was in January that I corresponded with Ann and the "Search Angel" and I deleted Ann's Email. FRUSTRATING, to say the least.
