My sister was adopted when she was only about 6 months old from Orange County Cailfornia. She was born about May of 1938, so that would put it about Oct to Dec of 1938. Our parents names were Earnest Wyley and Margaret Ann Bennett, nee Robinson. She was a home birth in Orange County, possibly Santa Ana, CA. Our maternal grandmother Cheree A Witt was the one to turn her over to be adopted. I have never been able to find her and would like to be re-united with her. Her name at birth was Ila Fay (or Fae) Bennett, probably a red-head (or dark Auburn)as one grandparent on each side is red headed. My mother had left her with the grandmother, and had not returned for several weeks, so she was turned over to the state as abandoned. Please help me to find her! I was told that we looked enough alike to be be twins. So I will include a photo of myself to (hopefully) help identify her.
