My name is Fortunato Gagliardi. I was born on December 15, 1951 in Cosenza, Italia. My name at birth was Fortunato Morghesi. I was placed in an orphange called Brefotrofio in Cosenza until the age of 2 and half years of age. I was adopted by Maria Perri & Ottavio Gagliardi from San Pietro in Amantea in Cosenza, Italia. My adopted parents hired a lawyer by the name of Francesco Saverio Carratelli for the adoption. At the age of 12 my Biological father tried to contact me by letter. My adopted parents were against me meeting my Biological father and the letter was destroyed. I was too young to understand. I have been trying to locate my Biological parents, siblings etc for many, many years. I immigrated to Canada in May of 1974. I live in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. If anyone knows something and can help, please contact me. I know that they are out there some where. This would be my dream come true. No only for me but for my own children. I have 3 children, Maria, Ottavio and Tony. My children would like to meet their Biological grandparents and other Biological family that I may have. Thank you |
