I was adopted in Jackson County MO, blond hair, blue eyed female born May 4, 1954, adoption finalized on May 26, 1955. The adoption papers refer to me as "baby Jean Thurston". According to the non-identifying information, I was born at the Willows Hospital in Kansas City, MO, my birthmother was 21 years old, 5'4 1/2 inches tall and weighed 110 lbs. She had curly brown hair and blue green eyes, and a fair complexion. She and her family were members of the Christian Science Church. My birthfather was 19 years old, 5'7" tall, with a stocky build. He had blond curly hair, blue eyes, and a fair complexion. My birthfather had 2 older sisters, and had quit high school to work as a mechanic. My birthmother did not tell my birthfather that she was pregnant. They were from a town of 175,000, and still lived there, and she was employed at a power company at the time of her pregnancy. Her mother died when she was about 10 months old, and her father later remarried and she was adopted by his new wife. My birthmother had a brother that was about 6 years older, and had a degree in engineering. If birth family doesn't want contact, I understand, would just like some medical history if possible. My adoptive parents have both passed now.
