I am searching fo my birth mother, birth father or any siblings or family. I was born on September 20th 1956. My birth mother gave me to my parents on March 12th 1957. (There is along story about what happened between September and March: Short version: My father paid for my birth mother's medical fees and delivery as part of the private arrangement. My birth mother decided to keep me. From what I can piece together (mostly an educated guess based on the story I heard) I believe my birth mother came from Brooklyn, and she must have been fairly young. (I could be way off on this)
My birth mother's either grandmother or mother tried to help raise me, but eventually after prodding from the lawyer who arranged the adoption convinced my birth mother turned me over to my family in the lawyer's office.
The family that helped arrange everything was named Hess (from Cresskill NJ). Their lawyer arranged everything, but I do not know his name and most of the people involved with it have passed away. I have not had the courage to ask my father who the lawyer was. He did tell me about Harkness Pavilion and gave me the blue baby outfit they received me in on March 12th 1957.
So,that is all I know right now. I hope my info is helpful we are all just needles in the haystack. It would be great to find "family" but I know the odds.
Oh, one other thing that may be of help. I had my DNA tested by National Geographic's Genographic Project. They determined that my father's DNA was from Central Asia (anywhere from the Russian Steppes and western China all the way to Kosovo. (Attilla the Hun must run in the family...lol).
My Physical Details. Blond Hair, Blue eyes...if it helps to know that.
