Searching for birth parents. My sister and I were abandoned in the summer of 1974. The following excerpt was received by Holt Post Adoption Services in OR from Holt Korea.
"After we reviewed his adoption file, we found a document from Samcheonpo city hall where he was transferred from. It was written that he and his younger sister were registered after their parents ran away from home through Samcheonpo City on the 22nd of July, 1974. It was also written that they were first found at Dongjwadong office, Samcheonpo City."
On September 5th of 1974, Chung Ha Boo was appointed guardianship of us. My given name (presumably by the orphanage) was Han, Sung Chul. My records have my date of birth listed as 11-28-1972 and 11-18-1972. Not sure which one is officially accurate. |
