I am looking for my grandmother Cornelia Sue Comer. She preferred to be called Sue. Last name could be spelled Commer, Comber. She was pregnant at the age of 19 in Jacksonville NC to a baby boy, who was named James Hargie, after she gave him up for adoption. She is said to be born in Illinois in 1937. His adopted parents names were Dinorah and James Allison Hargie. She was living with her aunt and uncle in Jacksonville. Her uncle was stationed in the marines at the time along with my grandfather. The father was said to be John Hunter from Northern California. My father's adoption was legal in the state of South Carolina in Bufford. Cornelia new Robert and Lee Moran, who knew Dinorah and James Hargie. |
