I'm helping my mother in her search for birth mother and/or birth siblings. She was born on 11/8/52 in Richmond, VA. The name on her birth certificate is Baby Girl Williams. Birth mother's name is believed to be Iris Williams, from Orange Co., Virginia. She was 17-18 years old at the time of my mother's birth. The adoption was made final 14 months after my mother's birth, and "Williams" was not the last name used to sign the final papers, suggesting that she was married between the time of my mother's birth and the time that the final papers were signed. The new last name used to sign the papers is unknown. My mother was adopted by Charles and June Brown of Richmond, VA. We've been told that her birth mother (Iris Williams) was short in height with dark hair and eyes.
