I am searching for any birth family. Female born 10/31/77 at Borgess hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. Red hair, bl/gr eyes, fair skin. Irish/scottish, Adopted by Donna and James Shafer, (they named me Amanda) through Catholic Family Services?... Possibly name for me was Jenna or Jean? Possibly last name of birth parent or doctor..Hardly/Handley? Was told my birth mother was 19 and father was 20. He was in the navy and out at sea at the time of birth. Enjoyed the outdoors and cars. She loved ice-skating and wanted to do something in the travel industry. Were going to get married but decided that they should get married because they love eachother not because of me. Birth mother was going to keep me but understood the importance of a two parent home (this is at least what the agency told me). I just want to know what happened to my birth parents...did they ever get back together? Did they marry other people? What do they do for a living? What were my grandparents like (especially now that all my granparents are deceased)? Do I have any half or full siblings running around out there? I have always wanted a big family and my adopted family is small and not very tight. I am not necessarily looking for a new family just want to know more about my birth family and heritage. |
