BONESS, James William Francis (a musician) came to Nova Scotia Canada from England at about 1920. He left behind a aunt named Violet Rhodes. He married Mimmie/Minnie/Maggie Chaisson/Chiasson who was born in Nova Scotia. They had a son, Francis William James Boness born in Huntsville, Ontario in September of 1926. They lived in Huntsville 1 year, then moved to Quebec. Young Francis moved to St. Catharines where he married Dorothy Barrick in December 1947. They had a son Francis (1948) and a daughter Francis Rose (1950). Both James and Minnie Boness died while living in the province of Quebec sometime in the mid-1940's. The son, Francis (1926) died in his 46th year in St. Catharines, Ontario. The children, Francis (Frank - adopted Francis Watkins) now lives in Elliot Lake, Ontario and has reclaimed his birthname - Boness; and the daughter Frances Rose (adopted Roseanne Ilvis) now lives in St. Catharines, Ontario. At present, no known relatives have been found. No genealogy records are available from the gov't files because; because of a marriage breakup, Frances Rose was fostered from age 1 to 6 and Francis from age 3 to 16) then adopted. It has taken some 20 years to collect this little bit of data -- can you help???
