My adopted name is Karen Pickens. I am searching for both birth parents, as well as any siblings. I have limited and questionable information: My birth mother was a college student in her early 20's. My birth father was younger than my birth mother. I was told that my birth mother was originally from Knoxville, but attended college in the Nashville area. My birth certificate lists my County of Birth as Davidson. I was made ward of the State in 1972, the same year as my birth. I do not know ethnicity or other background of my birth parents; however, I have brown hair and brown eyes, and was sick much of my childhood with chronic bronchitis. I was told that my birth mother was an adoptee as well.
