I am searching for my birthdaughter born January 23, 1967 in Akron, Ohio, and placed for adoption in about June or July 1967 by the Summit County Children's Services with a family in the department store business. I named her "Amber," and she weighed 6 lbs. 9 ozs. She would be 41 now. Both her father and I are/were tall and blonde, and her father had blue eyes. Mine are green. The family who adopted her had also adopted a son a few years before her, so he would be about 44 now. I have been reaching out to my baby since she turned 20 by making myself as find-able as possible, especially through Soundex. She is my only child, and her birth picture is still on my dresser.
