I am searching for my 2 half sisters, Henrietta (or Harriet) and Diana Dunn. I am told that we share a father, Henry N. Dunn, of Yonkers, NY. Harry died in February of 1956, the twelfth. Just shy of his 51st birthday. My birth mother's name was Anne. I found her in 1981. For all these years, I have waivered about finding my half sisters. There is so much I would like to know (such as seeing a picture and medical history)and, yet, I don't want to hurt them. I believe they knew he had an affair, but I don't know if they ever knew a child resulted. I daydream about meeting them while visiting Harry's grave in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. I would be satisfied with the picture and some medical history, if that's all they wanted to give. I fully understand that this is a very sensitive and potentially hurtful subject. That is why I've waited all these years to really try to find them. I would accept them not wanting to meet me, if that is how they were to feel. I realize that meeting and getting to know my birth mother was a great gift. I would have accepted her decision not to meet me if that was what it had been. I have to at least try, though. I may get lucky again and meet some wonderful people. If any one can help me get in touch with my half sisters, I would be very grateful. they are in their 60's or 70's by now and may have married.
