Searching for my birth mother. I was born Sept. 26, 1963 in Storm Lake, Iowa. My birth name was Gina Marie Wellington. I was adopted by a wonderful family (Madden's) in Laurens, Iowa. My mother's name on my birth record was Charlotte Wellington. I was told my mother was seperated from her husband and other daughters(possibly 5 daughters). I was the result of an affair with a red headed male. At one time I had a photo of her while pregnant with me. She had short dark hair and a bright smile. She was with a younger blonde female cousin and an older woman, I think was her aunt. I was advised that the photo was taken in Gilmore City, Iowa. She would have been about 26 when I was born. It was a private adoption. My great Aunt Merle, from Ottumwa, Iowa, somehow knew my birth mother and introduced her to my new parents. She visited with my parents frequently during her last trimester.
