BIRTHMOTHER: According to birth cert., gave birth to a daughter @ 2:15a.m. on AUGUST 28, 1968 in NC. NAME OF BIRTHMOTHER IS UNKNOWN. I was placed through FAMILY SERVICES Agency (maybe the one in Winston Salem). She named me after her,she was 22 yrs.old; mother and sister knew but otherwise preg. was highly confidential. Her mother was a school counselor. Her father was not told because of past history with alcoholism. Before her pregnancy, birthmother went to college for two years, worked for airline. Planned to go to nursing school. Lived on her own. She went to a maternity home and received the support of her sister and mother. Had dark skin,eyes,hair,sang. was described as "beautiful and insightful"(what a lady!)Had relationship with birthfather for years, yet he denied paternity; was majoring in engineering third year college. I love her and am grateful she was so courageous.
