I am searching for my father's birth family. He was born Jan 12, 1954 in Shelby Co. TN, possibly at St. Joseph's. I believe his birth name was Micheal Montalvo. He was adopted in Little Rock AR,into the Baltz family from Pocahontas, when he was just over a year old in 1955. His mother had dark ethnic features and his father was a sailor in the service. I'm not sure what orphanage he was in or the adoption agency. My father suffered from alcoholism and possible a mental illness. I am diagnosed with bipolar disorder and my daughter is a very emotional child. I would like to learn as much as I can about the medical history of my father's birth family. This may possible answer many questions and help our family in coping with these illnesses. If anyone has any information on any of these subjects please notify me.
