UPDATE: I received the marriage certificate and Don and Rita were married on 7-15-1969. He was a PFC Marine at that time. I am 90% sure the Donald McVey in Virginia is my husband's father and is the correct age, I have also confirmed this through his DOB which is 3-19-1949. My problem is that I can't find any phone numbers for him. There are multiple addresses for him so it seems he may move around but there are no phone numbers. Also, Eugene McVey was his brother but it seems he has recently passed away.
Original Posting: Donald Ray McVey. I am searching for my Husband's Father. His name is Donald Ray McVey. He was married to a Rita Kae Heckerman in 1969 in Las Vegas. We believe Donald was a Marine and served in Vietnam when my husband was born. My husband's name is Michael Scott McVey and he was born on Jan 15th 1971 in Westminster, Orange County, California.
Mike's birth certificate only provides his fathers name and age. It says "unknown" for all other info. His mother Rita passed away before she could provide the details of where his father was or if he even knew of Mike's existence. Donald was stationed at El Toro in Orange, County, CA. Mike can confirm that his mother mentioned that his father had family in Virginia. |
