ISO birthmother Pauline.L. Schmidt of Rosebud,SD.Year of birth aprox 1932. Pauline.L.Schmidt's fathers name James Ed.Schmidt Mothers name was Leola Schmidt. 1 brothers name was James (I remember talking to him on the phone when I was aprox 10yrs old.)another brother may have been vincent R schmidt. My name is Billie Jo Robinson Braswell Norton I was born in Lincoln Nebraska in 1968 to Leonard Robinson from Missouri and Pauline Schmidt born on the Rosebud reservation in South Dakota. When I was 1 1/2yrs.old Leonard took me to Arco Idaho Where we lived with the Garner family . At age 2 Leonard gave me to the Braswell family The Braswells were told that my mom Pauline died in a car accident.Then when I was 12 years old Leonard returned to Arco and The Braswells adopted me.(I truely honor and love them for the good life they have given to me) when Leonard returned to Arco he said my mom died of cancer. when I was 2 months old. During my adoption process the court searched for a death certificate on Pauline Schmidt However there was never on found. I am in search of Pauline Schmidt or anyone who is related or who knows/knew her. Pauline Schmidt is a Lakota Sioux Paulines was 36 when I was born. I am currently 40 so Pauline would be mid-late 70's. I realy feel the need to find more info regarding our Native American relations and heritage for my grandchildren my children and myself. Thank you. ***Update*** I have recently recieved further info on Paulines family it is as follows 1-Pauline born on Rosebud However her mother,grandmother/father ect is of the lower brule tribe. 2-Paulines grandparents names are Leon and Alice De Shenquette(Desheuquette) Still no evidence of Paulines Death ect...It is nice to see her family members.
