i am looking for information on my grans birth mother and family.my gran was born on dec 14th 1906 at no 87 morrison street edinburgh scotland.her mother was mary jane stewart a domestic nurse who gave her ad as cherry cottage edzell.there was no mention of a father.mary named her baby mary allan stewart and she was adopted by teh tennant family.she was then called mary allan stewart tennant.her adoptive mother was named mary richarson tennant.she went on to have three birth children john,alec and emily.they lived in engine rioad loanhead .mary tennants maiden name was elliott and she was originally from ireland.my granny married william montgomery and tehy stayed in loanhead. |
