Looking for my brother, born in Sitka, Ak. at Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital around 1968 or 1969 to Ak. Native woman, Grace Canul, and White father, Herbert (Herb Graver,) but my father (not your biological father) was still married to our mother at the time of your birth (they were separated but not divorced yet), so he had to sign the adoption papers (his name was Joseph V. Canul, Sr.), which is the name probably listed on your birth certificate, and he lived in California at the time. Our mother and your biological father were from Juneau, Ak., you have two brothers and three sisters (I am your sister) and a large extended family, I'm sorry to say mom passed away in April, 2007. She was a wonderful woman and I wish you had known her. |
