Birth mother and father and/or extended family. I was surrendered for adoption the day I was born, January 25, 1971. My maternal grandfather tried to stop the adoption and attempted to abduct me from the hospital in Dixon, Illinois, Lee county. The lawyer who handled the adoption has since retired and am told he lives in Florida. The adoption was otherwise a closed and private adoption. The names of my birth parents are unknown to me and the names of my adoptive parents are Miley James Gilroy and Easter Awanda Gilroy. | |||||||||||||||||||||
