I was born on April 9, 1954 at the Mayfair Hospital, 682 Broadview Avenue, Toronto and adopted by by Gordon Macdonald Duncan and Mary Annabelle Duncan nee Scott in June 1955. The adoption was handled by my uncle, Dr. Frank R. (Ramsay) Scott, on my mother's side. My birth name was Barry Watkin. It was a private adoption. The hospital has since been closed. My birth mother's name was Carole Watkin. She was single and 20 years old in 1954, with the profession of ballet dancer. She lived at 464 Roehampton, Toronto, and attended North Toronto Collegiate Institute. The doctor's name was Dr. S.J. Stott. My mother married John Marshall of Kingston, Ontario and had a son, Stephen, her only other child. My mother was living in Ft. Erie, Ontario before her recent death in Niagara Falls on July 12, 2009 following a trip to England. She left behind a husband, John, a son, Stephen, and a sister, Linda. I am trying to locate Stephen, my half-brother, who lives in Toronto, Ontario. I am also looking for information concerning my biological father, possibly with last name Fice or Wright.
