I am looking for the birth family of my grandmother. Her birth name was Josephine Thoms (or perhaps some variant of Thoms, like Toms). She was born in Cape Elizabeth, ME in 1894. She had 2 sisters and 1 brother. The family was split up when their mother died. Josephine was sent to live with Howard and Elizabeth Young in Brockton, MA, and was raised as Helen Elizabeth Young. Her older sister, Elizabeth, was living with a family in Lynn (or perhaps Saugus) and married Harrison C. Cann.
