I am searching for the biological parents or any surviving family member of my father. I don't have any real concrete information about his birth parents, but I do know that my father was born on March 29, 1958 in or near Paterson, NJ. There is conflicting information on where he was adopted from -- maybe a Jewish center in Paterson or perhaps another adoption agency. I have no information on a hospital. My dad was adopted when he was about 6 months old, but was put up for adoption closer to the time of his birth. My dad was placed for adoption under the name of "Butch", which was later changed. As a child he was fair skinned, a few freckles, brown hair and brown eyes. Now my dad is about 6 ft tall, brown hair, brown eyes, 51 years old. He was blonde as a child, from birth until about 8 years old. To me, he looks a bit Irish, but I can't be sure. I am doing this on my own accord, my dad is not involved, and this is mostly out of curiosity. I am one of his two children, and my brother and I are curious as to what our backgrounds are like, and who we are biologically related to. My dad expressed interest many years ago about finding out his birth parents so we can have up to date medical history to see if there is anything to be worried about, and things of that nature. If you think he was a son you put up for adoption, or you think that you may have more information, feel free to get into contact with me. I know the information is scarce, but I am hoping this is not impossible.
