I gave birth to a baby boy at 3:09 p.m. on October 1, 1969 at the Medical Hospital of Charleston, South Carolina. I spent approximately 4 months prior to the birth in the Florence Crittendon Home for Unwed Mothers in Charleston. The name I gave my son at birth was David Michael Baxley.
