I know that my grandfather was adopted in 1913 here in the United States.
I think that my grandfather's parents ancestors had come from Germany. My grandfather's name was Ralph William Zuckermann at the time he was born.
However, when he was adopted, he took his new parents' name, Dye.
We live in Ohio. My grandfather was born in May of 1913 and was adopted in June 1913.
If you know anything in regard to this, please contact me. I would like to learn more about my "missing" family because I would like to make an actual family tree.
