My mother Maria Kukoriczas(now deceased) was born in Bohemia (Hungary) March 11, 1911.
Her mother Anna Kukoriczas died about 6 months after Maria's birth. I was told that Maria was
placed in an orphanage. Maria did not remember
the name of the orphanage. At age 9 years,Maria was sent to USA in September 1920 aboard the SS Amerika. Maria believes her father was Konrad Pem (Pehm)??
I am attempting to determine the orphanage she
was in and perhaps, even her father's name.
Maria was adopted by Michael and Mary Mikulics
of Bridgeport Connecticut in 1921. All parties
have since died, and I can find no one who can
help me.
