Looking for the children of Hazel Marie Hite born Sept 9, 1909 in Turtle Creek, Ohio.
Hazel put Samuel Baltimore on all her childern's birth certificates. We have since learned through DNA testing that Norman Henry Baltimore's father's surname was Lewis. This is the only clue we have at this time.
Hazel and her sister Ruth Dorthy Hite moved to California between 1930 and 1940. She later married a Melvin Johnson in Sacramento, California. It is believed she was married to a Samuel Baltimore but I have found nothing to support this. Although she did us the surname Baltimore for 4 of her children.
Known Children of Hazel Marie Hite.
1. Bonnie Marie Baltimore Found in 2003 adopted
2. Gloria Jean Balitmore born born 1942. We have been told she was born in Ohio. And placed in foster care. We were told that she could be going by another last name and been adopted either in California or Ohio. She married in the 1960s and her husband did not know she was adopted.
3. Norman Henry Baltimore was adopted in 1947. (my husband). A DNA test has been done and we have found that his father's surname is Lewis. It is unknown who Mr. Lewis was or is at this time. It is believed he was in the military and was stationed at either Mather or McCellan Air Force Base or traveling through Sacramento CA on his way overseas. We have been told that Mr. Lewis died during WWII from schrapnel wounds).
4. Jonquil Marie Baltimore born 20 Oct 1946 San Francisco, San Francisco County, California. She went to a family in San Francisco. She is probably going by another name even though she was never formally adopted. She may or may not know her birth name.

5. Larry Johnson born in 1948 in California.
Hazel Marie Hite's mother was Anna Laura Ramsey Hite Bayes born Feb 1888 Ohio d. 27 Oct 1957 in Dayton, Montgomery, OH Burial Woodlawn Cemetery, Dayton, Montgomery Co., Ohio. Hazel's father Henry Albert Hite born Oct 1879 in Kentucky died 22 Sep 1940 in Butler Co., Ohio buried at Old Pioneer Cemetery, Middletown, Butler County, Ohio.

Harry Norman Hite changed his name to Jack Ramsey born 13 Aug 1907 died 17 Apr 1979 in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio married a Barbara <Unknown>. He owned a Music store in Springfield, Ohio
Hazel Marie Hite (above) married 1st Samuel Baltimore 2nd Melvin Johnson
Ruth Dorothy Hite married a Bill Davis in California (no Children from this union)
Della Mae Hite (Found the family of Della Mae Hite)
Hazel did not give up the rest of her her children for adoption until the 960s. The only known exception was her son Norman Henry Baltimore who was given up for adoption at birth.

We are also looking for our newphew Michael Gary Seth Desper born 25 January 1981 at Sacramento Medical Center, Sacramento, Sacramento County, California birth parents Loren Lee Desper (son of Hazel Marie Hite and Melvin Johnson) m. Audrey Rider. He was taken and placed in the California Foster Care System. It is unknown if he was ever adopted.
