SPILLANE:BLACKWELL:SPELLMAN I am looking for descendants of John Spillane and Sarah/Sally Blackwell Spillane who lived in the 1850's in Loughan, Offaly. I know only of their daughter Eliza Blackwell who married John Spillane in 1844 in the Dunkerrin RC church. I am fairly certain this Spillane/Spellane family originated in the parish of Aghnameadle, Tipperary. I would like to connect with anyone who traces back to Spillanes from any of these areas, especially those who have the name Edward in their family. John and Eliza had Edward in 1845, while John's brother Ned Spillane, married to Judy Maher/Meagher, also named his first son Edward in the 1830's in Dunkerrin parish. Two connected families include Edward Spillane and Mary Duane and Thomas Spillane and Honora Talbot. Both John Spillane, who married Eliza Blackwell and Thomas Spillane, who married Honora Talbot, emigrated to England and changed their name to Spellman/Spelman. I would really like to find descendants of Thomas and Honora. |
