I'm looking for background info on my Grandfather. His name was Otis Carroll Clark born 1897, died 1948. I found out he was adopted in sequatchie county, Dunlap Tennessee by James Francis Clark and Lavina Clark. His name at the time was C. Johnson. The Clarks were in the census for Tennessee up until 1900. The only Otis Clark was found in the 1910 Mccurtain County, OK census. Right age and birth date of my grandfather. What I would like to know who were the Johnson's? What happened to the Clark's. It has been said we have Native American in our background and Mccurtain County used to be Indian Land.
