Looking for info on my Great-Grandparents--Joseph Tobbe and Almira(Allie) Bickers Tobbe.
They married sometime between 1900-1913 and had my GMother Thelma Tobbe around August 1913. They also had another daughter (possibly adopted) Myrtle Elliot Brown. Myrtle could not have been Almira's biological daughter, since Almira would have been 8 yrs. old when Myrtle was born.
Myrtle had an illegitimate daughter while in her teens, and her name was Margaret Ezell.
Allie Bickers Tobbe had a sister named Hattie Bickers (Pullen), and a brother -Walter Raul Bickers, who went on to marry a woman in San Luis(?) Mexico. I have family photos to corroborate these details.
I have no family info on Joseph Tobbe, but I have found Ellis Island records indicating that he migrated from Holland in 1892, at the age of 5 years. No other Tobbe family members are listed on that ships' records.
The women in my family of origin are noted for lying about their age, so there is lots of secrecy and intrigue around our family history :) Any help is most appreciated!
