I'm tracing roots to my great grandmother, born in Lamar Co. TX, placed in a San Antonio orphanage, adopted by a Dr. (Joe?) Martin, and married William Lee McClesky in 1900. I found my g.grandmother, Rosa Martin, living with her Aunt, Ellen Western and her 2 daughters, in Wilson Co. Rosa's middle name was Ellen! If I can locate the Dr. that adopted her and the year and Co. it took place in, I'd like to have her adoption records opened by the courts. Any help or advice? If so, please email me. Thank you!
